About Emma

Emma Brasier has 30 years experience in the photographic, publishing, and film industries, as well as in her own arts-based practice which incorporates photography, multimedia, film and animation. Professionally, Emma specialises in photojournalism, photographic editing, research, film, digital video and the production of online content. Having worked for major Australian news outlets and global organisations, she is adept at following a brief and getting the perfect shot while operating in a fast-paced, demanding environment. As a trained visual artist, Emma brings an artistic approach to projects that require a more creative sensibility.

Her career has included roles at AAP, NewsCorp, NCA Newswire, Fairfax Media, The United Nations, The Australian War Memorial, The Australian National University, Federal Publishing Corporation and government and independent film production houses.

Her other passions include teaching, travel, yoga, walking, radio production, volunteering in her community and creating abundance through gardening – by the social and design principles of permaculture – following the patterns and features observed in our natural ecosystems. And finally, getting out into the world – regularly exploring nature – to keep learning and to continue to live with awe and wonder.
